Health Equity Summit
As artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies rapidly reshape healthcare—from diagnostics and treatment planning to insurance decisions and patient engagement—they also raise urgent questions about equity, access, and accountability. For Black communities, recent advances in medical technologies hold the potential to disrupt long-standing disparities—or deepen them if existing biases and other challenges go unaddressed. This Health Equity Summit convenes scholars, technologists, healthcare leaders, policymakers, and community advocates to examine how AI and other emergent technologies are transforming healthcare systems and what it will take to ensure these innovations expand, not restrict, access to quality care for Black communities. Through critical dialogue and forward-looking strategies, the Summit will explore ethical AI design, data justice, policy safeguards, and community-centered approaches to health innovation. Together, we chart a future where technology serves as a tool for equitable care, dignity, and the liberation of healthy living.
In addition to the content sessions, we are offering a Health Fair to provide an opportunity for diverse health organizations to engage with Summit participants in various ways, from traditional tabling to more interactive setups. The health fair is complimentary to all vendors and will be open throughout the Summit, with the main timeframe for engagement taking place during the breaks and networking lunch portion of the event. During this time, we encourage free flowing conversations and sharing information with attendees.
