moment honoring five decades of leadership, policy impact, and community advancement.
Hosted in Washington, D.C., the gala convenes national policymakers, corporate and philanthropic partners, CBCF alumni, cultural leaders, and next generation changemakers for an evening that reflects both the legacy and the future of Black leadership in America.
For 50 years, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation has served as a cornerstone institution—developing leaders, informing policy, and advancing equity through research, education, and civic engagement. The Legacy & Leadership Gala is not only a celebration of the past, but a call to action for the next generation. It honors visionary founders and legacy leaders, highlights policy impact and community progress, and inspires continued investment in leadership pipelines and public service.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations by phone are not accepted. Registration cancellations must be submitted in writing by 5:00 PM (EST) by April 8, 2026, to receive a registration refund, less a $7.78 processing fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellation requests received by CBCF after 5:00 PM (EST) April 8, 2026. To ensure proper processing, cancellation requests must be emailed to eventsupport@cbcfinc.org. For eligible cancellation requests, CBCF will issue the refund within 5-10 days. Refunds will be issued for the registration amount less a $7.78 processing fee. PLEASE NOTE: Donations are non-refundable. By completing your registration transaction, you signify that you agree to comply with the cancellation policy for this conference.
